14th Annual Baseball Forecast Luncheon

Next step: spring training!  The 2006 Kansas City Royals made one of their first public appearances for the upcoming season in front of a crowd of over 400 Royals faithful at the Annual Baseball Forecast Luncheon.  The event was emceed by Royals radio announcer Ryan Lefebvre and featured a panel made up of the following:

David Glass - Owner

Dan Glass - President

Allard Baird - General Manager

John Buck - Royals Catcher

Reggie Sanders - Royals Outfielder

Mike Sweeney, who accepted the 2005 Player of the Year Award at the luncheon, joined the front table as an impromptu panelist, joining in to answer questions from Lefebvre and from the general public. 

There is a great sense of optimism coming from the team this year as they are excited about their newly acquired free agents, solid veterans, and always-improving young players. 

One attendee will won an exciting trip to Royals spring training in Surprise, Arizona just by attending the luncheon!  The trip includes: a three-night stay at the Wigwam Resort & Golf Club, two Midwest Airlines tickets, and two tickets to a Royals spring training game in Surprise, Arizona.
