WIN for KC Reading Challenge a Success!
The 8th Annual WIN for KC Reading Challenge hosted nearly 3000 local boys and girls who had the opportunity to listen to WNBA San Antonia Stars player and former Kansas State University All-American, Kendra Wecker during the celebrity reading session as well as attend the first round tournament game of the MIAA Women's Basketball Tournament. Readers received a sonic coupon and free book from Scholastic and top readers were honored by sitting on stage with Kendra and recognized during halftime of the women's basketball game.
