Patti began her duties as Director of the Women's Intersport Network for Kansas City (WIN for KC) in September of 1999. WIN for KC is a program under the umbrella of the Kansas City Sports Commission and Foundation, that focuses its programming primarily on girls and women. She is responsible for all fundraising and sponsorship efforts, community relations, program development and implementation, and directs many of the special events throughout the year.

Programs under Patti's direction have grown tremendously, such as the Annual Luncheon that sells out every year, and the Reading Challenge that boasts over 4,700 students at the annual "Celebrity Reading Session." WIN for KC has also been able to lure some of the most highly sought after women's sports figures to Kansas City, including Brandi Chastain, Cynthia Cooper, Lisa Fernandez, Betsy King, Lisa Leslie, Rebecca Lobo, Aimee Mullins, Diana Nyad, Briana Scurry, Jackie Stiles, Tamika Williams, and others. WIN for KC was also able to garner a stop for Kansas City on the GAME FACE: What Does a Female Athlete Look Like? photographic exhibition's sixteen city national tour.

In addition, Patti provides color commentary for ESPN, ESPN Regional, FOX Sports Midwest and Metro Sports television broadcasts of high school and collegiate women's basketball games.

Before joining the Kansas City Sports Commission, Patti worked for the NCAA as the CHAMPS/Life Skills Program Coordinator in Education Outreach, where her primary duties included planning, organizing, and implementing three national conferences per year. She was involved in leadership training and programming, and curriculum writing for the Life Skills program. Prior to that, she was the head women's basketball coach at Ottawa University in Ottawa, KS for eight years. She inherited a losing program at Ottawa and turned it into a regional power. Under her direction, the Ottawa Lady Braves received their first national ranking in school history.

Patti received her degree with honors in English Education from Baker University, and earned her Masters in Athletic Administration and Sport Psychology from the University of Kansas.
