Stephen Valenti

Stephen joined the Sports Commission in May 2007. His primary responsibility is helping area race directors and event planners improve their events through the use of online software that facilitates registration, volunteer recruitment, and fundraising.  He also assists with the marketing, promotion, and execution of various special events including the Kansas City Marathon.

A native of Rochester, NY, Stephen moved to Kansas City in 1998 and graduated from Blue Valley High School in 2000. He left to go back to Rochester for college at the Rochester Institute of Technology and graduated with a degree in Graphic Design. Once he graduated in 2004, he moved back to Kansas City and now calls it home. Prior to working at the Sports Commission, Stephen was the Marketing Manager for All About Travel.  Away from the office, Stephen's interests include playing soccer and golf.
